Learn essential FPP techniques, including accurate fabric placement, precise seam allowances, and piecing tricky shapes with confidence. Jen will provide tips for planning your colour combinations and achieving her signature scrappy, playful style. 

This class is suitable for all skill levels - whether you’re new to foundation paper piecing or looking to refine your technique. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a completed block or a strong start on your chosen project, plus skills and inspiration to continue creating at home.

10am - 1 pm

Requirements

  • Sewing machine in good working order (bring power cord and foot pedal) 
  • Neutral or coordinating thread 
  • Extra machine needles 
  • Seam ripper 
  • Fabric scissors / snips for trimming threads 
  • JK Foundation paper piecing pattern (printed templates or pre-purchased paper patterns) 
  • Paper scissors (for trimming papers) 
  • Assorted cotton quilting fabrics for your project

About the Event

  • This event is held in-person in-store located at 87 Beach Road, Torquay 3228.
  • Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be provided. 
  • Supplies are available for purchase in store during class if not purchased ahead of time

Cancellation Policy for Classes and Events

All classes and events at amitié Textiles are non-refundable. We book teachers to travel & teach their skills/crafts months in advance. They often spend weeks preparing for a workshop and cancellations cannot be accommodated.

If you are unable to attend, you may:

  • Transfer your booking to a friend or family member. Email us the details of the new attendee at classes@jenkingwell.com from the email address used to make the booking.
  • Request amitié Textiles to find a replacement for your place. This request must be made at least 60 days before the class. If we successfully fill your place, a 20% administration fee will be deducted from your refund. If we cannot fill your place, no refund will be issued.

If amitié Textiles cancels a class, all fees paid will be refunded.
